Marseille : déploiement du dispositif sécurité sur les plages

La mairie de Marseille déploie son dispositif sécurité 2024 des plages marseillaises. Avec différents acteurs et moyens, celui-ci doit protéger les Marseillais et touristes tout en assurant le respect des lois et de la bonne entente.

Mise en place du dispositif sécurité 2024 

La mairie de Marseille déploie pour l’été son dispositif de sécurité des plages. Son but est de lutter contre les insécurités et irrespects régulièrement observés lors des surplus touristiques estivaux.  

Cette année, 42 chefs de postes de secours, 86 maitres nageurs sauveteurs, 70 médiateurs et une centaine de policiers sont déployés. Que ce soit à pied, en scooter ou à vélo, ils ont pour mission de veiller à la sécurité du littoral, de rappeler les règles de savoir-vivre et de respect, ou encore de résoudre les conflits.

Grand afflux & fermeture possible de plages 

Cette année plus que les autres, la municipalité craint des débordements. La fréquentation de la cité phocéenne, déjà très élevée habituellement, risquent de dépasser toutes les prévisions avec les Jeux Olympiques de Paris 2024. Déjà en 2023, passer du bon temps sur les plages avait été difficile. 

Pour ces raisons, certaines plages comprenant déjà des quotas pourraient se retrouver complètement interdites au public durant l’été. La plage des Catalans par exemple, ouverte de 7h à 23h, encourt ce risque.  

Hausse des moyens du dispositif 

Au fil de ses mises en place, le dispositif évolue et se déploie plus efficacement dans Marseille. En 2 ans, la présence de la police sur le littoral a été multipliée par 2, et celle des médiateurs par 3. L’appli Safer, mise en place pour prévenir et lutter contre les violences sexistes et sexuelles, va être utilisée par les gardiens de la paix sur une dizaine de plages cette année, contre 4 l’année dernière. En espérant que cela suffise pour que les Marseillais et touristes passent un bon été.
